I hate when people get mad at you for being against the war and saying you need to support our troops!
WTF logic is that?
yeah I support the guys so I will send them to death for Bush's special interest groups.
DUMB ASSES.

A little something that shows Peace means supporting too.
Get them home alive.

Re: Support Our troops does NOT mean Go War.
Sun, June 5, 2005 - 5:01 PMExactly! I DO support our troops by trying to end the WAR! This is not some damn football game where everybody's cheering for a touchdown, this is fucking MURDER on BOTH sides! My cousin was killed over there and his mother blamed the Iraqi's (or as she put it, the "insurgents...." Pft..) She said she's proud that her son gave his life for his country, but I told her your son didn't GIVE anybody anything. His life was TAKEN from him by the very nationalistic system he was trying to protect. My cousin did not GIVE his life for his country, he was MURDERED by it! And I, for one, demand justice! -

Re: Support Our troops does NOT mean Go War.
Mon, June 6, 2005 - 1:54 AMyeah no one in Iraq is dieing for our country there.
There was no threat to us.
now we have created one....
This song has a very well put verse about insurgents fighting us.
he makes a very valid point.
Its not like they choose to fight us.
We are there and they have no choice.

Re: Support Our troops does NOT mean Go War.
Wed, June 15, 2005 - 11:02 PMYou will find that people in general parrot what they hear on TV without ever actually thinking about what they say and believe.
Do not get angry at them as this only reinforces their position. The only way to win over the minds of those trapped in TV land is to put yourself in their shoes and agree with them. Once they don't feel defensive, their need to justify their blind position vanishes. Once you are not a threat, you can work in a subtle comment to stimulate logical thinking. If you hear how the soldiers die for our freedom or terrorists are kept at bay, ask yourself out loud, what freedom was I missing or losing to the people in Iraq who really have no concept of freedom to start with? Ask yourself out loud, where are all the terrorists and why have they never done anything else? Ask yourself out loud, wouldn’t be a lot more terrifying to live in tiny Iraq with a foreign occupation and bombs and guns going off all around you and your kids getting blown up everyday verses sitting here worrying about some handful of fanatics wondering around our country of 300 million people?
Don’t question their position, question your own (since you are in agreement) with them, they will try to help you and this is where you learn the deeper concepts behind why they chose to believe the TV, the Government, the Corporation, the President, Rush, and the so called Christian, conservative, right-wing propaganda.
You will quickly realize they really have no independent thoughts and facts to cite; not only about the war, but about every important issue facing this country. If you try to challenge them on an intellectual level, they only get defensive and angry.
They have not spent the time to question anything; they have all the answers nicely implanted in their brain by mass media. Buying into this acceptance of leaders without thinking or questioning starts when we are babies. Our parents, our friends, and public education system all play a part in one’s susceptibility to bull crap as adults.
I admit it takes a lot of mental strength not to lose it and tell some people to get their heads out of their asses. Honestly, the only hope we have of slowing (or reversing) this mass insanity (not unlike Hitler's Germany) is for those of us who see through the propaganda to band together with a common, clear, non threatening message.
We need our own ribbon to start with. Today, I saw an SUV with five ribbons and I thought I should have 1,700 ribbons; one for each dead soldier as this would be a great sign of supporting our troops that even our poor misguided countrymen would have to think about.
Remember, we are not alone; millions of us exist in silence as the media will never cover the truth about any war and dead soldiers have no spokesperson. We are the voices of true support of our troops, the voices who demand every soldier be brought home and allowed to live out their lives in peace with their families.
Keep up the good fight!
